International Conference on Intellectual Property (IP) and Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture (April 24, 2023)
WIPO organizes International Conference on IP and Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture on April 24, 2023.
Speakers from IGOs, NGOs, governments, academia and the private sector will discuss the importance of innovation and the potential of IP tools to support sustainable agriculture.
The Conference will start with a Keynote Address by H.E. Mr. Vahit Kirişçi, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye, followed by an Introductory Panel on IP as an Incentive for Sustainable Agriculture among High Level Dignitaries.
Experts in the field will then explore:
- Agricultural land and inputs – Preparing the ground
- Cultivation and Harvesting – Producing the crop
- Storing, Distribution and Consumption – From farming to Commercializing
Each panel discussion will conclude with a Q&A session, during which participants will be able to raise questions to the panelists.
The conference will be held in hybrid and will run from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Interpretation will be available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
